   Hi, guys!
Time to catch up on New York. We got in late Thursday night to an RV park on the Jersey Side with a view of the harbor and  Lady Liberty. Friday, we saw the Statue of Liberty. and walked around the Ellis Island Museum. We saw Lower Manhattan, Wall Street, Trinity Church, Hamilton's Grave, ate at a diner, walked through Little Italy and Chinatown, and visited the 9-11 memorial.  We were all very impressed with all the skyscrapers, amazed at the architecture of Wall Street and the Trinity Church and the history of Hamilton's final resting place. We got gelato and marveled at the sights, sounds, and smells of it all. the memorial was our final stop for the day, and it was beautiful and sad.
Saturday, we saw the New York Public Library (it was amazingly like a castle), had lunch at Bryant Park, walked through Central Park (we played at 4 of the 21 playgrounds), ate fabulous cookies, and were overwhelmed by the neon lights and billboards of Times Square.
Sunday, we went to the Intrepid Museum, attended Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and started driving to Philadelphia.
Yesterday, we went on a tour of Independence Hall, saw the Liberty Bell, and drove to Gettysburg.
Gettysburg struck me as quaint, yet full  of history. We saw the cemetary, the Pennsylvania soldier's monument, and arrived in our campground in Virginia a couple of minutes ago.
We love you all and wish you were here,
                  Shaylee.

Hello, everyone, and happy (late) Independence Day! Time to catch up on our trip. On Saturday, we visited Niagara Falls. After parking the RV on the outskirts of the city, we walked to the falls. After admiring the breathtaking view, we got back in the RV and drove to Massachusetts. We admired the forests from the window, eventually staying near Stockbridge in a KOA with an awesome playground.                                                                                                                                                                   Sunday, we saw the Norman Rockwell museum and went to Mass at the Chapel of Divine Mercy.
We went to Boston for the Fourth of July and  had a blast. We walked  the Freedom Trail (our feet still have not forgiven us) and, after dinner an excellent Italian diner, we watched the amazing fireworks. Since the subways were packed and we had  to pick up a rental car, we got home at about 2   a.m.
We love you and  wish you were here,
            Shaylee

Who doesn't love a road trip cross-country? Last Tuesday, we headed out in our big RV and, after  about 18 hours  of driving, came to an RV park just outside Chicago. After exploring the beautiful (and quite possibly enchanted) forest in the park, we headed to the train station into Chicago. We marveled at the architechture, walked along Lake Michigan, and visited the Field Museum, before finally heading to a restaurant for some excellent Chicago-style pizza. Thursday, we revisited Chicago and met cousin Sara Louise for lunch. We said goodbye and visited another museum. We all loved visiting Chicago! Today, we are heading out and will be at Niagra Falls in the morning. We miss you all and wish you were here,
